Scott Norris is a plaintiff’s personal injury and disability attorney with over 30 years trial experience. Over his 30 year career, Mr. Norris has tried over 100 state and federal cases. Mr. Norris has been named to the National Trial Lawyer’s Top 100 Trial Lawyer list in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Mr. Norris is also a certified mediator through the Center for Conflict Resolution and serves on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Chicago Bar Association.

He has been at the vanguard of the crime victim’s rights movement from its inception, seeking restorative justice for crime victims in the civil justice system. He holds the national record for the largest psychological injury verdict in a prisoner sexual assault case. He also holds the record for the largest verdict in the municipal department of Cook County for an unoperated herniated disc.

Mr. Norris started his career as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Cook County, Illinois. In 1988, he established his own private practice of law concentrating in tort and criminal law. In 2001, Mr. Norris joined Burnes & Libman as a partner where he currently concentrates his practice in premises liability and transportation negligence cases. He is also the firm’s social security disability specialist.
